Goods are sent by Royal Mail or Priority Airmail if the delivery address is outside of the UK.
Provided your item is in stock we will normally dispatch your order within 2 business days, please allow 5 working days before contacting us. If your item is not in stock we will inform you by email and ask whether you would like it to be placed on back-order - if on backorder please allow between 10 to a maximum of 28 days for delivery.
If you are unavailable when our delivery partner tries to deliver your order, they will usually try to deliver again the next working day, or they will drop a card in to offer you a collection from a local collection point. If you should refuse delivery of goods, or are not available to accept the delivery on both delivery attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs incurred.
All quoted delivery prices are for most UK mainland addresses. Northern Ireland (BT), Isle of Wight (PO30-37), Isle of Man (IM), Scottish Highlands and Orkney Isles (PA, ML, EH, KA, G KY, PH, DD,AB, IV, KW), Outer Hebrides and the Shetland Isles (HS, ZE) will incur additional charges and may also experience delivery delays.

- Returns, Replacements and Cancellations
Customers located in the European Union have the right to cancel an order within seven working days of purchase or within seven working days of receipt of the goods after the date the item is delivered (whichever is the longer).
Should you wish to cancel your purchase within seven working days, please contact us in writing, either by letter, fax or email - telephone cancellations are not accepted - and we will provide you with a returns number. All items must be appropriately packaged and returned so that we receive unused in the original packaging in a saleable condition along with the invoice and returns number to:

United KingdomWe cannot accept liability for returned goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage and to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. You will be responsible for the cost of returning goods as well as that of goods cancelled after dispatch.
You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 days after we receive your return or 7 day cancellation notice. Shipping and Handling charges will not be refunded for (1) undeliverable packages (including those for which the shipper cannot locate the customer, resulting in the order being returned to sender or abandoned), (2) deliveries that are refused (including instances in which the customer is unwilling to pay any applicable taxes or duties which results in the order being returned to sender or abandoned) or (3) orders cancelled after the goods have been shipped. All undeliverable or refused orders will be treated as a return, with the same policy applied as returned items.
In the unlikely event that you receive damaged goods, please notify us in writing (or by email) within 28 days of receipt and goods will be re-dispatched on return of faulty items.
Where a 'free shipping' order is part or fully returned or part cancelled The Life Craft reserve the right to charge shipping pro rata should the order value fall below the prevailing free shipping rate.
All cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the start date of the class or course. We are unable to accept cancellations after that date. Classes cancelled after this time will not receive a refund or transfer. Deposits are non refundable, but can be transferred if booking another class.
In the event that we have to cancel a class or course (this may be due to a class or course being under subscribed) all participants will be notified one week prior to the start date and will be offered either an alternative date or a full refund of any monies paid.
- Ordering
Simply use the top navigation bar to browse through the various categories of stock that we carry and use the menu on the left hand side to aid your selection.
To find out more information on that product simply click the products image. On the right hand side there will be a product description and on the left hand side will be a gallery of images for that product. When an image is selected it can be zoomed in or out using the slider under the photo.
To purchase this product click the "add to basket", link. You will then be able to continue browsing through the website adding as many products as you require or alternatively, click the "checkout" button and have your credit card details ready.
Once you are happy with your order, you will need to review and check the following information to ensure that it is correct:

* Your Payment DetailsThis is a straight-forward and completely secure process. At present the we use Paypal's services to authenticate and process credit card payments. This service takes you away from our shop to input your details using their own secure servers before bringing you back should you wish to continue looking around.
Once this is done, we will then send you an automatic email confirming your order. Please print and retain a copy of the order e-mail for your records.

We currently use Paypal to process all our payments through this site. In addition to being able to pay for items using your Paypal account you are also able to use their systems to pay for them using most of the credit and debit cards available in the UK. It should be pointed out that you do not need to sign up to be a Paypal member or have an existing Paypal account to use this service.

Tax
In the case of orders made by customers resident outside the European Union (EU) and delivering to an address outside the EU, then VAT will be removed from the cost of goods. For all other orders, prices include VAT as required by UK law. The cost of carriage is inclusive of VAT irrespective of the address of the customer or the delivery address.
- Viewing Orders
To be able to view the status of your orders you need to be a registered member of the site. Once you have logged in to the Account Dashboard via the 'My Account' link at the top right hand side of the screen you will see the status of your latest order as well as a link allowing you to see the details of the order.
If you select the 'My orders' option from the left hand side menu you will be taken to a list of all your current and previous orders. Options to see the details of each order is available as well as a one click option to reorder any of your previous purchases.
- Updating Account Information
Once logged in via the 'My Account' link at the top right hand side of the screen you will be taken to your Account Dashboard where changes to your account can be made.
* Account Information - This is where you would change your details such as how you wish your name to appear on the website and which email address you wish to use.
* Address Book - Your contact details and shipping address that be changed from here.
* Newsletter Subscriptions - You can sign up or cancel your subscription to any of the newsletters that are avialable.
* My Wishlist - If you have added any items to your wishlist from the shop front this is where you will be able to see them. You can add the products to your shopping cart, delete them from your list, add comments to each product on your list and share your list with your friends and family using the options on this page.
* My Downloadable Products - Not currently in use but is something we are looking at with regards to selling patterns and books. More information on this will be sent out in our newsletter once we decide to go ahead with the plans.
